Treva June Simmons Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Treva June Simmons of Jacksboro, Texas, who passed away on January 20, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bennett Elba and Vivian Lorene Freeman (Lee); her grandparents, Sim Elba, Nocona Maude Freeman (Foster), Robert Edward and Lula Pearl Lee (Emery); her husband Harry "Shorty" Simmons; her siblings, Mack, Dennis, Elba Freeman and Donna Freeman Brown; her great grandchildren, Treyton Simmons and Brogan Hamilton; her great great grandchild Grady Blaine Chavana; and her son-in-law Freddie Pate.
She is survived by: her children, Teresa Pate (Simmons) of Jacksboro, Cary Simmons (Phyllis) of Alvord and Benny Simmons (Trisha) of Cottondale; her grandchildren, Treva Dutter, Levi Pate (Nicole), Kaysi Hamilton (Randy), Kallie Marburger (Ash), Adam Simmons (Amanda), Jennifer Bush (Daniel), Josh Simmons (KayLee), Benna Sereika (Jordan) and Shaylin Simmons; and her brothers, Morris Freeman (Marilyn), Dolan Freeman and Marlon Freeman (Maria). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the White Family Funeral Home (1418 TX-59, Bowie, TX 76230). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Alvord, TX. (205 E Boling St, Alvord, TX 76225).
