He is survived by: his wife Karen Kaye Poteet; his children, Wade Poteet, Taylor Poteet (Shelly), Shayla Fargnoli (Kevin), Missy Poteet and Debbie Poteet; and his siblings, Syd Poteet, Sandra Williams and Sue Simmons. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
