It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carl Nelson Spivey (Jacksboro, Texas), who passed away on October 17, 2024, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ada Leona McClure Spivey and Hugh Spivey; his siblings, Robert Spivey, Rev. James Spivey and Margaret Prescott; and his former wife Cass.
He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Davenport (Mitchell) of Jacksboro and Vicki Prouty (Stephen) of Plano, Texas.; his stepdaughters, Leslie Adkison of Boston and Jessica Lynn of Bakersville, N. C; his grandchildren, Brian Davenport (Leah) of Jacksboro, Amber Clifford (Brent) of Lubbock and Andrew Nelson Davenport (Frances) of Richardson, Texas.; and his great grandchildren, Landon Davenport, Jett Davenport, Claire Davenport, Cora Clifford, Allison Clifford and Noah Nelson Davenport.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Oakwood Cemetery (145 Oakwood Ave, Jacksboro, TX 76458).
