He was predeceased by: his parents, Beauford Truitt and Dorothy Ellen McRoberts (McKown); and his siblings, Donna Johnson and Roy McRoberts. He is survived by: his daughter Roberta Nunley (B. J.); his grandchildren, Caleb Brent Nunley and Ashlyn Cate Nunley; his great grandchild Paisley Dean Nunley; and his brother Tommy McRoberts.
