He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Amzir and Lenora Ellen Hodges (Stone); his sisters, Aline Marshall, Francis Beasley, Ruby Bittle and Jarita Weyland; his daughter Shirley Hodges; and his grandchildren, Dirk Leatherwood and Shellana Vargas.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen Hodges of Archer City, Texas; his children, Gilbert Hodges of Bryson, Texas, Pat Hardy (Mike) of Archer City, Texas, Sandi McCoy (Jimmy) of Wichita Falls, Texas and Maggi Leatherwood (Paul) of Bryson, Texas; and his siblings, Charles Hodges of Modesto and Billie Ashley of Castro Valley, California. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
