He was predeceased by: his parents, Chris Monk and Lois Monk (George) of Garland; his son James Monk (Red) of Forney; and his grandson Atticus James Parker. He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Mandy Monk of Forney; his son Daniel Grey; his wife Linda Biggs Monk of Ivanhoe; his grandchildren, Miranda Embree, Jessica Huff, JoeDavid Huff, Crissette Campbell, Kendee Long, Caydan Copeland, Kelbey Long, Jayde Brannum, Jerry Parker, Hope Parker, Peyton Parker, Gentry Parker, Kelsea Monk, James Chris Monk, Jr. and McKenna Monk; his great grandchildren, DavidDaniel Roskowske, Aisley Embree, Lochlan Embree, Raynee Peterson, Jett Peterson, Nox Peterson, Tuff Campbell, Brek Campbell, Casen, Cambry Copeland, Leviticus Long, Layne and Noah Parker; his sisters, Peggy (Dale Penn) and Anita (Mark Poteet); and his brothers-in-law, Steve Smith, Paul Teas, Dale Penn and Mark Poteet.
