He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Parker and Ruby Parker; and his siblings, Margaret Dozier, Evelyn Bledsoe and Rod Parker.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Upton Parker; his children, Emily McRoberts (Chris), Rebecca Ingram and Gabriel Newby Parker, III; and his grandchildren, Isaac, Elliott, Oliver, Upton and Emerson. He is also survived by Twelve brothers and sisters-in-law, numerous nieces and nephews, and several great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wise Funeral Home (219 W Sam Rayburn Dr, Bonham, TX 75418). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (818 N Main St, Bonham, TX 75418). A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Bettes Cemetery (2281 Co Rd 2125, Ivanhoe, TX 75447).
