She was predeceased by: her father Joseph Freeman; her husband James A. Evans, Sr.; her mother Clara Belle Davis Hawthorn; and her stepparents, Floyd Hawthorn and Queen Freeman.
She is survived by: her children, Yvette Jackson, Anita Evans, Pamelia Evans (Bruce Henry) of San Antonio, Texas, James A. Evans, II of London, England and Joseph A. Evans (Susan Moore) of San Antonio, Texas; her sister-in-law Annie Sue Evans; her cousin Clara "Reesie" Hart of Greenwood; her close friend Nazarene Boyd; and also Michelle Cosey. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
