She was predeceased by: her parents, Elbert Lee and Zuma Opal Gann (White); her husband Lloyd Helms; her son Lonnie Dale Hanes; and her sister Frances Blanton.
She is survived by: her children, Jannis Lynne Anderson (Kenneth) of Lebanon, TN, Lloyd Keith Helms (Peggy) of Corsicana, Kandy Dawn Hanley (Tim) of Henderson and Kristal Jean Whiddon (Donavon) of Forney; her grandchildren, Lisa Kilburn, Ronald Helms, Russell Helms, Wesley Helms, Trey Edge, Lauren Edge, Kristin Buchert, Patrick Hunt, Connor Hunt, Byron Hanes, Preston Barlow and Jason Hanes; her brother Preston Lee Gann of Kopperl; and her grandchildren, Christopher "Critter" Kinkaid and Emily Ann Langley Finley. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
