It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jo Surles of Italy, Texas, born in Waxahachie, Texas, who passed away on October 19, 2020, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Ben Barnett and Ruby Jane Buchanan Barnett of Waxahachie, Texas.; her brother Johnny Marvin Barnett; and her son Keith Allen Bennett. She is survived by: her husband David Eugene Surles of Milford, Texas; her son Steven Wayne Bennett of Lancaster; her grandchildren, Madison, Bailey, Libby and Tripp; her great grandchildren, Bruen, Hayden and Samantha; her daughter Heather Pettid Bryant of Italy; her grandchildren, Michael, Chance, Courtney and Destiny; her great grandchild Penelope; her stepdaughter Darla Surles Cook (Raymond); her stepgrandchildren, Shelby and Bethani; her stepdaughter Beth Surles Smith (Tony); her stepgrandchildren, Zachary, Kennedy and Kyle; her stepson David Surles Jr. (Mandi); her stepgrandchildren, Hadley and Haydyn; her sisters, Ruby Faye Wafer, Minnie Howard and Bridgette Adamek; her former husband Steven Wayne Bennett; and also Ellie. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
