It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wanda L. Pitman of Irving, Texas, born in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, who passed away on October 19, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Wanda had on those she encountered along her journey. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward B. Walker and Ethel Walker (Simpson); her husband Jerry Ray Pitman, Sr.; her son Michael Lee Pitman; and her brothers, Lee Ray Walker and Edward Walker, Jr..

She is survived by: her children, Rev. Jerry Ray Pitman, Jr. (Martha) of Rochester, Indiana, Richard Dale Pitman (Evangeline "Helen") of Irving, Cheryl Lynn Frasier (Joseph) of Sparta, Tennessee and Melinda Sue Costa (Mark) of Watauga; her daughter-in-law Jeannie Pitman; and her sister Elizabeth Chesley (Liz). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and many nephews & nieces.
