We are sad to announce that on January 23, 2024, at the age of 88, Richard Ashton Smith of Irving, Texas, born in Long Branch, New Jersey passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Marjorie Smith and Reginald Smith; and his brother Alan Smith. He is survived by: his wife Trudy Smith; his son Ashton; his daughter-in-law Jeanna Smith of Nashville; his daughter Melanie; his son-in-law Michael Gable of Colleyville; his daughter Kathleen; his son-in-law Bruce Smith of Frisco; his daughter Cynthia; his son-in-law Thomas Delanoy of Irving; and his sister Marjorie Kemp of Longview. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, one great-grandson and a second great-grandchild.
