He is survived by: his parents, Caroline Stroud (Springfield) and Harold Smith; his siblings, Joe Melvin, Paul Melvin and Linda Ramirez; his sons, Daniel Zachary Kouns, Jered Jonathan Whitten and Anthony Lynn Smith; his grandchildren, Eva Marie Flores, Kevin Whitten, Andreas Whitten, Savannah Marie Smith, Amelia Ruth Kouns and Isabella Whitten; and his fiancée Crystal Anne Thompson.
