He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester Anderson and Hattie Anderson. He is survived by: his wife Christine Anderson; his children, Angie Mathews and Mike Anderson; and his stepdaughters, Dawn Shults, Melinda Dorrell and Rachel Alfred. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

The family asks for donations in David's honor to be given to the mission field of First Methodist Church in Irving, Texas.
