David Anderson Hindman Obituary
David Anderson Hindman, longtime resident of Irving, Texas, died Friday, June 9, 2023, in Richardson, Texas. Dave was born July 25, 1929, in Galion, Ohio, to Stella Anderson Hindman and John Hindman. He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Mary Egger Hindman, daughters and sons-in-law Cynthia and Rob McCormick, Carol and Tim Bernett; grandchildren Macy McCormick, Hannah Bernett, Riley McCormick and Noah Bernett, He is also survived by his brother, Reed Hindman of Minneola, Kansas, two sisters-in-law, and a number of nieces, nephews, and their children.
After serving with the U. S. Army in Germany during the Korean Conflict, Dave graduated from Sterling College in Sterling, Kansas, with a degree in Chemistry. He was employed with NCH Corporation of Irving for forty years, retiring as a Vice President with the company. Dave was an active member of Woodhaven Presbyterian Church (Irving) and had served as Sunday School Teacher and Elder. He was an avid gardener and received great joy in sharing the bounty of his harvests with family, friends and with Irving Cares Ministry.
But, best of all, Dave was a faithful husband, loving Dad and devoted Grandad.
A private family service and burial will occur Friday, June 16, 2023.
Memorials can be directed to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, or your favorite charity, or by planting a tree in his honor would also be appreciated by the family (see links below).
