Charlcy E. Black Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 18, 2025, at the age of 93, Charlcy E. Black in Irving, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Charlcy's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Charlcy has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Evans and Lavada Denton Evans; her husband Donald R. Black; and her sister Alice Wood. She is survived by: her daughter Julia Ann Black; her brother Denton Evans; and her brother-in-law Paul W. Wood Jr.. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 10:15 AM at the Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery (2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Woodhaven Presbyterian Church (3650 N O'Connor Rd, Irving, TX 75062). A burial was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at the DFW National Cemetery (2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211).
