He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Raper and Grace McIrvin Raper; and his siblings, Opal Raper, Dorothy "Dot" Raper and Roy Max Raper.
He is survived by: his wife Vennie Ann Thompson Raper; his children, Risa Rich (David) of Brighton, CO, Gayla Raper Fooks (Tim) of Irving, TX and Wade Raper (Kim) of Frisco, TX; and his grandchildren, Rebekah Rich-Luksik (Alex), Abigail Rich Arteaga (Clark), Clara Raper, Faith Raper, Grace, Aubrey Quin, Kyle Raper (Reid) and Caleb Raper. He is also survived by four greatgrandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Oak View Baptist Church (1004 S Story Rd, Irving, TX 75060). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Oak Grove Memorial Gardens (1413 E Irving Blvd, Irving, TX 75060).
