She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Howell and Reta Howell; her son Gerrel McDowell; and her sister Peggy McDowell. She is survived by: her children, Janie Cross, James McDowell (Nancy) and Barbara Moore (Dennis). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members and friends.
