He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Murphy and Freida Murphy (Von Roeder); and his wife Sarah Patricia Merriott (Pat). He is survived by: his sons, Ben Murphy of Midland and Michael Murphy of Borden County; his grandchildren, Wes Murphy (Kim) of Houston, Brady Murphy (Amanda) of Cypress and Macy Seale (Parker) of Dallas; and his great grandchildren, Kyler Murphy and Lane Murphy.
