She was predeceased by: her parents, Huang Pin Feng and Chin-Chia Kung; her stepbrother Shih Xiong Chu; and her husband Frank L. Montanaro. She is survived by: her stepsiblings, Shih Yu Chu of Vancouver, B. C. and Shih Hsiung Chu of Taiwan; her uncle Stephen Kung of Canada; and her stepchildren, Celeste G. Montanaro Wood (Mike) of Wichita Falls and Julian F. Montanaro (Karen) of Staten Island.
