He was predeceased by: his parents, John William Rentschler and Mary Katherine Stuart Rentschler; his wife Joyce Whitaker of Archer City; and his brothers, Robert Rentschler, Thomas Rentschler and James Rentschler.
He is survived by: his daughters, Dr. Carol Rentschler Lowe (Phillip Lowe) and Cindy Rentschler Morgan (David Morgan); his grandchildren, John Lowe (Angela) and Mary Morgan; his great grandchildren, Emma Lowe and Lillian Lowe; and his sister Linda Rentschler. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
