He is survived by: his wife Linda of Wichita Falls; his children, Cindy Yowell (Wayne) of Dallas and Ken Thornton (Brenda) of Iowa Park; his grandchildren, Nick Thornton of Iowa Park and Casey Yowell of Dallas; his stepgrandson Jeremy Sine; his siblings, Lloyd Thornton (Margaret) of Houston and Loretta Meyer (Jim) of Marble Falls; his nephews, Jay Meyer of Coppell and Dee Thornton; his niece Sharon Meyer; his children, Brody Walker and Kali; and also Wanda Francis.
Donations in Dr. Thornton's honor may be made to First Christian Church of Wichita Falls, or to a favorite charity.
