He was predeceased by: his wife Muriel Cruse Knotts; his parents, Mary Lois Gilpin Knotts and William Henry Knotts, Sr.; his sisters, Lois Ann Russell and Mary Perkins; his grandson Clay Warren Hunt; his great grandchild Barbara Grace Hamilton; and his daughter-in-law Janice Arlene Knotts.
He is survived by: his children, Susan Knotts Selke (Richard), William Henry Knotts III and John Cruse Knotts; his grandchildren, Allison Hunt Hamilton (David), Brian John Knotts, Bradley William Knotts (Taylor) and Blake Allan Knotts; and his great grandchild Annabelle Grace Hamilton.
