She was predeceased by: her parents, A. W. Glass and Tessie Glass; her husband John W. Hensley; and her granddaughter Celeste. She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Mallett (Larry) of Iola, John Hensley (Darcy) of Iola and Joan McKown (Mike) of Iola; her grandchildren, Chad Mallett (Kelly), Greg Mallett (Casey), Shane McKown (Shayanne), Lori Bay (Jeff), Tricia Walther, Brandi Kurtz (Kevin) and Anthony Hensley (Kelly); and her great grandchildren, Cassie, Garrett Mallett, Shaylee, Shelbee, Shanynn McKown, Luke, Laynie Bay, Sheridan, Tyler Walther, Kallie, Klayton Kurtz, Ella Pierce, Holland and Mills Hensley.

She lived in Iola her entire life, and it was in Iola where she laid the foundation for generations of family members to be raised and become lifelong residents themselves.
