He was predeceased by: his mother Maria; his wife Opal Waldeen Morlett; and his siblings, Pedro Morlett Gonzales and Benita Morlett Gonzales. He is survived by: his brothers, Roberto Aguirre Gonzales and Juan Aguirre Gonzales; his nieces, Guadalupe Ruiz Morlett, Gloria Ruiz Morlett, Mercedes Ruiz Morlett, Rosario Perez Aguirre and Angela Aguirre; and his close friends, Guillermo Perez Trugillo, Jaime Acosta and Martha I Graves.
