He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle Douglas Mead and Lottie Lee Everett; and his sister Jenean McNulty. He is survived by: his children, William Darrell Mead, Jr. of Alvin, TX and Joye Lee Samudio (Fred) of Corpus Christi, TX; his grandsons, Thomas Scott Mead (Erica), Jimmy Douglas McBride (Paige), Jackson Allan McBride, Dillon Craig Mead (Ashley) and William Connor Mead; and his great grandchildren, McKenna, Isla, Scarlett, Emma, Arya, Noah and Normand.
