It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Velia Smith of Ingleside, Texas, born in Bay City, Michigan, who passed away on February 25, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her close friend Michael; her granddaughter Makayla; her niece Laura; her pets, Rex (Baby Jesus) and Bruno; her daughter Victoria Ysenia; her son-in-law Hunter Buescher; her son Christopher Michael; her daughter-in-law Debra Smith; her stepdaughter Celia; her son-in-law Abel Guzman; her grandchildren, Austin Guzman (Celia), Conner, Griffin Smith (Christopher), Ariana and Vance Buescher (Victoria); her siblings, Elida, Elizabeth and Pablo; her husband Michael W. Smith; her parents, Josefina Dominguez and Pablo Dominguez; and her brothers, Rudy and Joe Dominguez. She was also cherished by loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Expressions of appreciation for Velia's life may be made to any charity of your choice, but she was especially fond of animal rescue.
