He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Shetters and Ruby Clark Shetters. He is survived by: his wife Teresa Shetters of Ingleside; his children, Chris Martinez of Corpus Christi, Roy E. Shetters, Jr. of Ingleside, Teresa Benavides (Oscar), Paula Martinez of Corpus Christi, Michelle Rojas (Ricardo) and Adelita Moncevias (Pedro) of Dickinson; his sisters, Betty and LInda; and his grandchild Willie.
