He was predeceased by: his parents, Julia Sanchez (Rodriguez) and Angel Sanchez; his son Ricky Sanchez; his granddaughter Christi Sanchez; and his brothers, Manuel Sanchez and Ruben Sanchez.
He is survived by: his children, Gilbert Sanchez, Jr. (Michelle) of Corpus Christi, David Sanchez (Tina), Jessie Sanchez of Gregory, Texas and Gloria Hernandez (Richard) of Ingleside, Texas; and his siblings, Guadalupe Sanchez (Eloisa) of Corpus Christi, Texas and Angie Maldonado (Santos) of Taft, Texas.. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; numerous great-great grandchildren.
