He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Alvin Hale and Pearl Mildred Hale-Trimyer; and his brother-in-law Johnny Steward. He is survived by: his wife Mary Hale; his children, David Hale, Jr. (Silvia), Amy Shaler (Todd) and Mistie Hale; his siblings, Alvin Hale, Gary Hale, Mildred Haskin, Deborah Butchert and Kim Pounders; his grandchildren, Madelyn Shaler, Brandon Hale, Cole Shaler, Samantha Hale and Liam Hale; and his siblings-in-law, Philip Steward, Thelma Clark and Karol Morgan. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
