He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph I. Canik and Lorena Canik (Crenek); his wife Darlene Canik; and his brothers-in-law, Clem Gully, Jr., Frank Vitek and Roy Klaus.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy Wilde (Ed) of Frelsburg and Ricky Canik of Industry; his grandchildren, Jesse Brannon (Krystin) of Lucas, TX and Ethan Brannon (Amber) of Pewaukee, Wisconsin; his sisters, Madeline Vitek and Dorothy Gully of Fayetteville; and his sister-in-law Shirley Klaus of Brenham.
