Wilma Jean Valdez Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Wilma Jean Valdez of Idalou, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 21, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Wilma Jean may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Leroy Zeller and Wilhelmina Christina Zeller (Weber); her sister Chrystal Rainey Conrad (Zeller); her grandsons, Kallen and Lorren Valdez; and her daughter-in-law Camille Valdez (Rabel).
She is survived by: her children, Monica Kennedy (Sam) of Lubbock, Melba Valdez (Dan Jones) of Ruidoso and Roger Valdez of Idalou. She is also survived by six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sanders Memorial Chapel (1420 Main St, Lubbock, TX 79401).
