He was predeceased by: his parents, Pablo Saldaña Lopez and Alexandra Gomez Lopez; and his siblings, Chavela Cerda, Anna Alvarado, Mingo Lopez, Margaret Rodriguez, Juan Lopez, Agapito, Jesus, Leon, Ciriaco, Hilario, Manuel, Jose Gomez, Victoria Gomez, Theodora Lopez and Clemencia Gonzales.
He is survived by: his wife Lucia Lopez; his children, Belinda Rubio (Thomas Morgan) of Waco, George Lopez of Idalou, Diana Flores (Carlos) of Idalou and Julian Lopez Jr. of Idalou; and his brother Paul Lopez of Tulia. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
