He is survived by: his wife Gay of Idalou; his sons, Lance Phares (Kim) of Lubbock, Brent Phares of Amarillo, Rene Moya of Beeville, Chad Phares (Jodie) of Lubbock and Kirk Phares (Kacy) of Lubbock; his grandchildren, Shayla Shaw of Dylan Phares, Kaycee Wilson of Lubbock, Kali Phares of Lubbock, Austin Phares of Lubbock, Bailie Phares of Lubbock, Kamryn Phares of Lubbock, Zane Phares of Lubbock, Ethan Phares of Lubbock and Addisyn Long of Lubbock; his great grandchildren, Jacob Ewing of Lubbock, Skya Powers of Lubbock, Deklan Powers of Lubbock, Kingston Shaw of Lubbock and Emma Phares of Lubbock; and his sister Betty Stufflebeme of Shallowater.
