It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Martha Lou Dobyns of Hutto, Texas, who passed away on January 19, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wesley Hurt, Sr. and Madie Davis Hurt; and her siblings, Dorothy Jean Walker, Nila Ann Wright, Wanda LaNell Burns, Billy Ray Byrum, J. W. "Dub" Hurt Jr., Linda Lee Shifflett, Velda Lynn Stapp and Robert Harvey Hurt.
She is survived by: her husband Rev. Don Dobyns; and her children, Ladona Claiborne (Greg), Deborah Neyland (Wilburn), Phebe Joanna Whiteside (Alfred), Marsha Montey (Marty) and Patricia Ruthstrom. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at 3200 Century Park Blvd, Austin, TX 78727. Viewing was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Live Oak Cemetery (10739 Twin Creek Rd, Manchaca, TX 78652).
