He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Cates and Mary Anne Cates (Mamie); his son Dino; the mother of his children Novella Cadelly Cates; and his siblings, Betty Jean Cates Hill, Mary John Cates Fleming and Joseph Cates (Joe).
He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Kevin Cates (Lori) and Karen Cates Mayes (Michael); and his stepson Darrell Hanson (Debra).
William Robert Cates Jr. (Billy Bob) died Wednesday, February 20, 2019 surrounded by his family after a long battle with Alzheimer's.
