He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mathilda Oliver and Oliver Pettit Sr. Oliver; his wife Katie Pettit; his daughter Patricia Pettit; his son-in-law Jack Rogers; his children, Oliver Pettit III (Connie), Glenna Rogers and Philip Pettit (Rhea); his grandchildren, Chris Pettit (Marnie), Danny Pettit, John Rogers (Laura), Brian Rogers (Lacey), Stephen Rogers (Erin) and Chad Pettit; and his great grandchildren, Madison Pettit, Lily Pettit, Josephine Pettit, Jack Rogers, Mackenzie Rogers, Elise Rogers, Ben Rogers, Henry Rogers, Harvey Rogers, Will Rogers, Bridgitte Rogers and Sedona Pettit.

In lieu of flowers Oliver requested donations be made to Diabetes Research and Treatment.
