With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Laura Elizabeth Bardo in Hurst, Texas, who passed away on November 30, 2023 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Andreas Gertz and Sophie Elisabeth Apfel Gertz; her husband Allen Larue Bardo; and her close friend Barbara Brandon. She is survived by: her daughter Joyce Marlene Bardo (Joy); her niece Kimberly Tarver (Kim); her son Robert Allen Bardo (Sarah Vaughan); her grandson Robert Allen Bardo II (Shelby); her great grandchildren, Emory, Cameron Lore and Taylor; her granddaughter Elisabeth Ann Bardo Massad (Kelly); her great grandchildren, Ava, Gianna and Madison; her stepgranddaughters, Savannah Hughes (Demien Kurejwowski) and Tara Hughes Stewart (Adam); her close friends, Leslie Parks Douglas, Rosemarie Schmidt and Sherry Stevens; and her godsons, Neil and Brent Parks. She is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews.
We will be asking for no flowers, but donations to the Allen and Laura Bardo Memorial Scholarship Fund at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 504 W. Bedford-Euless Road, Hurst, Texas 76053.
