He is survived by: his wife Lucretia Burney Smith; his sons, Todd, David Smith (Caty) of Lewisville, Douglas Smith of Bedford and Randall Smith of Grand Prairie; his grandchildren, Jordan Smith and Andrew Johnson; and his brothers, Thomas Jr. (Diana) and Larry (Wanda). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lucas Funeral Home and Cremation Services (1321 Precinct Line Rd, Hurst, TX 76053). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Cross City Church (1000 Airport Fwy, Euless, TX 76039). A burial will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Grand Prairie Memorial Gardens (3001 S Belt Line Rd, Grand Prairie, TX 75052).
