He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris Rosenberg-Merrick and Ruby Baxendale; and his brother Alan Merrick. He is survived by: his wife Ola; his siblings, Marlene Sanderlin Williams (Floyd) and Barry Merrick (Catherine); his sons, Andrew Merrick (Michelle) and Damian Merrick (Tessy); his stepchildren, Crystal Johnston (Steve Reser) and Leanetia Kyle (Brian); and his grandchildren, Collin Merrick, Tyler Merrick (Baylee), Hannah Merrick, Ben Merrick, Austin Kyle and Cooper Kyle. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Lucas Funeral Home - Hurst (1321 Precinct Line Rd, Hurst, TX 76053). A reception was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
