It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Curtis Nelson Coates (Hurst, Texas), born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, who passed away on March 21, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Fannie Rae "Fray" Smith; his grandparents, Shannon, Amanda, Katie, Will and Brady; his close friend Velma Faye Stacey; his sister Joan Joyce Coates; his daughters, JoAnn Peterson (Don), Cindy Jung and Marci Brumley (Kirk); his grandchildren, Shannon Hathaway (Joe), Amanda Jung-Griffin (Jeremy), Katie Senor (Jordan), Will Jung (Amanda), Brady Moore and Walker Brumley; his sister Sally Harris (Louis); his great grandchildren, Molly Kate, Macy Rae Senor, Ella and Laney Hathaway (Velma Stacey); his sister-in-law MaryAnn Smith Resch; his nieces and nephews, JoBeth Peoples (Ronnie), Fran Ostrom (Steve), Jackie Resch (Kyle), Mike Moody (Sharon), LouAnn Stumbo (Paul), Trey Harris (Amy) and Andy Harris (CaryBeth); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kay Shelton Beeson, Patsy Andrews Grider and Stacey Golden Anderson.
