It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carmanita Nan Wirtz of Hurst, Texas, who passed away on January 27, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Carmanita Nan may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Amos Morris and Elsie Lee Thornton Morris; her husband Ronald Samuel Wirtz; and her sisters, Vera Joe Munson and Flora Sue Morris.
She is survived by: her daughter Sherri Denise; and her grandson Robert Dale. She is also survived by 3 sisters, but they were not just her sisters, they were her best friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lucas Funeral Home (1321 Precinct Line Rd, Hurst, TX 76053). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park (5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Lewy Body Dementia Association (LBDA), or to the American Cancer Society in her honor.
