He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Eldene Powell and Carl Haskell Patterson; his grandparents, W. A. and Dora Patterson; his wife Cheryl Patterson; his children, Vance Patterson (Lauren), Lynn Fisher (Doug), Melanie Lavender (Mike) and Tracy Puckett; his grandchildren, Connor Patterson (Grace), Cicely Booton (John Michael), Parker Fisher (Bailey), Hannah Bost (Jacob), Catherine Patterson, Abigail, Emma and Nora Lavender; his great grandchild Lucas Patterson; his siblings, Jim Story (Bonnie) and Jerry Lynn Beesley (Jim); his cousin Gloria Firquain (Bill); and his brother-in-law Dana Bayne. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
