He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. Holt and Leona Moreland (Barr); his stepfather Ott Moreland; his wife Ruby Katheen Holt (Lawson); his brothers, Harold Holt and Richard Moreland; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Gilman and Ernest Gilman.
He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Ballew, Linda Koffel and Rita Holt; his grandchildren, Olin Ballew, Branden Bledsoe, Rachel Albritton and Marcus DiFlavio; his stepgrandsons, Michael Spencer and Sean Spencer; his great grandchildren, Olin Ballew Jr., KayLin Cowan, Savannah McCowan, Benjamin Bledsoe, Brody Bledsoe, Baylor Bledsoe, Ellis Albritton, Wilson Albritton, Natalie DiFlavio, Colin Spencer, Jack Spencer, Sylvie Spencer, Margeaux Spencer and Leo Spencer; his great great grandchild Hudson Cowan; his nephew Michael Gilman; his niece Lisa Bracken; his great-nieces, Kelley Bracken, Hilary Gilman and Cara Farnham; and also Crue Gilman.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home - Huntsville (1700 Normal Park Dr, Huntsville, TX 77340). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Riverside Pioneer Cemetery (Front St, Riverside, TX 77367).
