He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Gabbard and Dorothy Bea Terry Ricks; his wife Patricia Dollarhide; and his brother Edward Gabbard of Lockesburg, AR.. He is survived by: his sister Jan Coon of Nashville, AR; his daughters, Janet Higdon (Rob) of Crockett, TX and Judy Herrington of Flower Mound, TX; and his grandchildren, Brandi Hibbs, Justin Gabbard, Chance Herrington and Amber Herrington. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to two organizations he loved and supported - the Walker County Master Gardener's Club or the Crockett TX American Legion Post 134.
