He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Robert Johnston Sr. and Mary Louise Johnston; his brother Bobby Johnston; and his son Edward Wayne "Lil Eddie" Johnston. He is survived by: his wife Rose Mary Johnston of Bedias, TX; his daughter Adrianne McLeod (Matt) of Huntsville, TX; his grandchildren, Colton Johnston, Kayla, Peyton, Colby and Hailey McLeod of Huntsville, TX.; his sisters, Mary Nowak (Alvin) of Spring, TX, Peggy Domangue of Runaway Bay, TX and Janis Johnston Hatsfelt of Runaway Bay, TX; and his siblings-in-law, Glenna Brown of Magnolia, TX and Al Domangue of Runaway Bay, TX. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home - Huntsville (1700 Normal Park Dr, Huntsville, TX 77340). A burial was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 2:15 PM at the Houston National Cemetery (10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038).
