It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David John Tibbs of Huntsville, Texas, born in Houston, Texas, who passed away on September 24, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hal Tibbs Jr. and Aurelia Ploeger Tibbs; and his brother Kevin Pendarvis. He is survived by: his wife Silvia Melchor Tibbs; his stepmother Ruby Baker Tibbs; his siblings, Becky Tibbs, Heidi Oppermann (James) and Talmadge Pendarvis; his children, Juan Andreas Melchor (Claudia), Joe Melchor, Micaela Moreno (Everardo), Patricia Harden (James) and Edgar Melchor (Christy); his friend Linda Reese; and his pet Lucy. He is also survived by his twenty grandchildren and his pet.
