He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Benson and Evelyn Benson. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Benson; his children, Rochelle Benson (Jarrett) and Charlie Doyle Benson Jr. (Amy); his grandchildren, Chase Benson, Haley Bittner, Maddie Alvarez, Vanya Benson, Mallory Benson, Jamie Deitchman and Gabby Rodriguez; and his great grandchildren, Naiah Bittner and Malachi Bittner.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Memorial Celebration Oct.
