He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Santos Covarrubias and Camila Covarrubias; and his siblings, Raymundo, Albino, Geronimo Covarrubias and Elia Covarrubias.
He is survived by: his wife Yolanda Juarez; his children, Oscar Covarrubias (Lupita) and Irma Bennett (Brandon); his grandchildren, Daniela Gonzalez, Khaden Bennett, Kaylin Covarrubias and Bryce Bennett; and his sisters, Adela Benitez, Margarita Covarrubias, Yolanda Covarrubias and Estela Covarrubias. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
