With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Velma Melton of Huntington, Texas, born in Paris, Texas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Velma left this world on January 20, 2025 at the age of 87, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bertha Mae (Smithy) and Mark Thomas Melton; and her sons, Tim Thomas and Alvin Thomas. She is survived by: her daughter Sherina; her son-in-law Leeland Sanford; her grandchildren, Misti Stanley (John), Vanessa Lougtry (Jeremy), Ashley Thomas, McKensey Thomas, Timothy Thomas and Jayson Thomas; her great grandchildren, Brayden Stanley, Dylan Stanley (Alexis) and Cade Glenn; and her siblings, Thelma Chesney and Billy Melton (Dede). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and treasured friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Pat Mayse Lake.
